The Old Farm House is located in scenic area of Villiersdorp, also known as the Jewel of the Overberg. It is a mere one hour and 15 minutes from Cape Town and a 30-minute drive from Franschhoek.

The hosts of The Old Farm House recall their first visit to Villiersdorp, when the beauty of the location amazed them. The orchards, high mountains and huge expanse of the Theewaterskloof Dam were a glorious surprise to them as first-time visitors. They remember thinking how could they have lived in the Western Cape for so long and not have known about this place, and now they have the pleasure of welcoming you to their own Villiersdorp guest house.

They are not sure of the exact date that the house was built, but do know that it is one of the oldest in the village. Using the architectural style and building materials as a guideline, they knew it is over 100 years old. The thick walls are built with unbaked clay bricks and the original wooden floors, ceilings and doors add to the feeling of experiencing a by-gone era. The house is comfortable, homely, a little quirky and full of country charm, making it the perfect Villiersdorp bed and breakfast.
